A Crochet Retreat
Face to face, hand in hand, step by step… New offline classes are now officially on!
You are invited to join this incredible journey with me in my leafy Canterbury workshop. There are a couple of patio umbrellas, a few comfy seats and my proud standard roses. You will be greeted with a cup of thick-frothed coffee and a short meet and greet with other artist-soon-to-be attendees. Followed by a fabulous curated session for a range of designs, which is highly likely to ignite your desire for action, then the class begins.
The atmosphere is relaxing but purposeful. There is a set of material kit prepared just for you. I will ensure there is no doubt at all that you will be absolutely at your most comfortable pace. You are encouraged to express your feelings, moods and emotions in the making just like any artists . There are plenty of exchange of ideas, demonstrations, progresses, mistakes and giggles. We are here with this common goal that bond us together!
You hear many say life is not all about where you end but where you’ve been. We’ve had that. And now we also have a beautiful end result. Perhaps you weren’t prepared for a sweet achievement in just 2 hours but it’s right here: your very own artwork! Let’s celebrate!
I’d really like to call it a wellness class, for there are many suggested health benefits from crochet. It’s an emerging form of meditation – a therapy makes you calmer and happier. It relieves stress and anxiety through repetition of stitches. It maintains flexibility in hands, especially fingers, with harder patterns are better for dexterity training. It keeps your eyes, mind and hands coordinated. It’s a perfect group activity and it’s productive. Let’s discover the soothing power of this traditional craft in my carefully-planned classes.
