This pattern works on thread size #80, which is equivalent to a single strand of DMC embroidery floss. This single stem is designed as a young blooming rosebud. The petals have a soft and almost transparent finish to highlight the degree of delicacy. The “veins” on petals orchestrate under the sunlight. The technique of making these perfectly shaped leaves is ideal for a bush rose. This pattern is an excellent example of adding a soul to a project.
